5.00 M33-2 release

Dark Alex 5.00 m33-2 finally out at his site .

Changes:

- Popcorn bug fixes

* Fixed bug that caused some games with certain icons not to work, and caused document.dat not to work.

* Fixed critical bug that caused continous corruption of psx games in RAM.

- Core bugfix: Fixed sctrlKernelSetInit* functions not working.

- M33 network update doesn't work in 5.00 M33, fixed.

- Added the posibility of loading version information from the file flash0:/vsh/etc/version.txt

By default is disabled. If you enable it in recovery, you could for example dump 5.01 firmware,
copy the version.txt from it to the flash, and bypass firmware check restrictions like those that
may be in psn, etc.
This will also fake official network update (not m33 one), and running the update eboot (again, not m33 ones).

- Plugins configuration file format changed.

The new format is as follows:

* There is no more conf.bin file.
* Now each line in vsh.txt game.txt and pops.txt will have a 0 or a 1 at the end. 1 indicates
that the plugin will be loaded, 0 (or anything else) that it won't be loaded.

Entering in recovery in 5.00 M33-2 wil automatically convert the old format configuration
to the new one (this may cause a delay first time you enter in plugins because of conversion).

- Added optins under advanced configuration that allow enable/disable of plugins in a certain configuration.
By default they are enabled.

You can download it now by following this cool link

Recovery prx for 3.71M33-2

psp hack psp homebrew

Ketchup has released a new version of his Recovery prx(It allows you to change recovery options in the XMB).

* 3.71 M33 v2 support (it should work on 3.71 M33 v1, but i advise you to use v2)
* Brightness is saved, so when you shut down the PSP, when you put it on, it will put the same brightness
* Autodetection of PSP type :
- PSP Slim
- PSP fat with kernel 1.5
- PSP fat without kernel 1.5
If kernel 1.5 is detected, you can change on the fly the kernel from 1.5 & 3.71, and you can access to GAME150.txt plugin.
* (Fat only) Pandora menu added under Extends (allow you to convert your battery to Normal / autoboot / pandora)
Warning : DO NOT USE SLIM BATTERY (that’s why the Pandora Menu will only shows up on a Fat PSP)
* Recovery config change
* bug fix : CPU speed on screen wasn’t good; it should be correct
* (PSP Slim) since Dark_AleX’s 3.71 M33 v2, DA has added charge via USB, so you can Enable/Disable it under Menu Advanced. However, it is not On the fly, so you need to reboot so the change can be set.

CXMB for 4.01 Official

Somebody has modified cxmb to work at 4.01, but pity to say that, it used a wrong ctf magic 0xDEAD0400 ( should be 0xDEAD0401 ), so if you had produced some themes with that version, they won't be applied at CXMB 3.2, you can hex edit it at offset 0x10 to make it work.
If you want to contribute to CXMB, just contact me, I will add you to the CXMB google project so that you can commit source, it would save our time, right?
By the way, I can't find the newest PSARDUMPER source, it's a GPL project right? is there a new rule breaker?

New In This Version
1. Add 4.01 capability.
2. Select the random.ctf, then cxmb will randomly apply your themes in /PSP/THEME/
3. Compile universal binary, cxmb.prx should work on 3.71/3.80/3.90/4.01
4. Fix some wrong io opration (I wrote some sceIoClose where there should be sceIoDclose)
5. Clean up sources (yea... I think I did it..)

Please read through this post or readme.txt before using.

To convert the old CTF file to the newer ones (this is respective to firmwares only) use the file below provided by the great hexaholic schmilk.

Caution: There is NO WAY you can use themes of other firmwares.
The themes should be used for their respective firmwares.
